31 Weeks!

Daddy Dave's biggest fan and I cheered him on at the 39th Annual Falmouth Road Race.   It was a chaotic event held over a 7 mile course between Woods Hole and Falmouth, MA.  It drew 11,000 runners and what felt like twice as many spectators.  We were lucky enough to receive three VIP tickets from race founder Tommy Leonard.  So our buddies George, Dave Palmer, and I posted up under the tent with prime finish line seating and a great full breakfast (which, I'm not gonna lie, loved!)

The first place winner was a Kenyan was ran the hilly course in just over 31 minutes, barely missing the course record.  Seriously?!  31 minutes!!!!  It was unbelievable watching the Elite finishers come across in the finish line in no time at all.

In addition to the race, we had our full day Labor and Delivery class at Falmouth Hospital.  It was a long day but Dave surprised me by asking if there were more classes he could take.  What a trooper!!!  He really learned a lot and hopefully will make him feel ready and comfortable to tackle this new career called Daddyhood.  The class definitely gave us full disclosure on the good, the bad, and the ugly!

After the class we came home and got ready for our maternity photo session.  A few months back I signed up for a contest to win a free session.  And I won it!  The photographer is based outside of Boston but was nice enough to come down to the Cape so we could take pictures at our lighthouse and beaches.  The weather was perfect, although quite windy in the beginning.  I'm sure I look like a wild woman with my hair all over the road in a lot of the pictures.  Oh well, it was fun anyway.

Now it's time to relax and put these swollen legs up!  It's been a busy weekend, but a great one.  Thank goodness for another Monday off  :)
