30 Weeks!

Seriously, where is the time going?  I completely missed week 30!  The Edelson household has been quite busy lately with friends and family and yet another open house.  We started off the week by celebrating with our coastie family the Coast Guard's 221st birthday.  Every year it's celebrated with a family day event at a local lake with food, drinks, live band, and all sorts of games and activities for all the kids.  This year was even more fun because we randomly ran into and old Alaska buddy, Levi Berg, that Dave lived with for a year up in Ketchikan.  He and his wife and 7 month old daughter are now stationed here on the Cape too!  It was so wild seeing him there since it had been 8 years since those two were together on the Naushon!

In addition to that, I met two new mommy friends that are also due in October.  It will be nice getting to know them and sharing our stories together once the babies are here.

The next day we went up to Boston and picked up my Dad!!!  He flew in to hang out with us for 5 days.  It was so great having him around.  The first day we just bummed around watching movies and doing what we do best out here...Eat Lobster!  It was such a rainy day that there wasn't much else to do.

Over the next few days we went to Plymouth and checked out the "Rock" and Plimouth Plantation.

My dad's trip was coming to an end but luckily the weather improved and we were able to spend an amazing day on Martha's Vineyard.  It was so nice being out on the water and in the sun after multiple days of rain and clouds.  I love it when we can get together with my dad.  He and Dave get completely silly and really have a good time together...it's so cute to watch.  I know that sounds cheesy but it just makes me thankful that they can have a good, honest relationship with each other.

Now we are onto week 31 already!  I will have more pictures and updates to post after the weekend.  Have a good one!
